Spyker C8 Aileron

home top b6 spyder on

The all-new, long wheelbase Spyker C8 Aileron continues heritage of performance, craftmanship and exclusivity. The Spyker C8 Aileron marks the next step in Spyker Cars' evolution. Inspired by the company's aviation heritage, Spyker's second-generation sports car features cues from second-generation aircraft propulsion, highlighting the turbine blade, rather than the propeller which

adorned many elements of Spyker's first generation cars. With sleek aerodynamics, a long GT-wheelbase, luxurious and spacious cabin and world-class six-speed automatic transmission, the new C8 Aileron has broadend the appeal of the Spyker brand while maintaining the marque’s exclusivity.

The style of the Spyker C8 Aileron’s headlights is particularly eye-catching as they flow seamlessly from the body design. Latest-generation LEDs are used for the front and rear turn indicators and the sidelights within
the sharply-styled headlight units.

The Audi V8 4.2 litre engine delivers 480Nm (354lb/ft) at 3,500rpm for truly exhilarating power delivery. This ensures high torque at low revs for a high, yet progressive, power delivery

Spyker uses the finest Hulshof leather and aluminium, for authenticity and substance—the use of plastics is reduced to almost zero. Once seated, your surroundings are unusually open and airy for a sports car, the light and glass akin to an aeroplane cockpit

Ignition switch

Flick the red cover on the ignition switch to evoke the spirit of starting an aeroplane. Activate the ignition switch and listen to the reassuring “clack” as the aluminium switch moves into place. Watch the dashboard light up as part of your ‘pre-flight check’ before pressing the engine start/stop button to hear the rumble of the V8 engine

Spyker believes in using authentic materials of true quality and substance for any area you can see or touch. Plastic is deliberately avoided to ensure the highest possible use of ‘pure’ materials. As a unique Spyker feature, you can opt to have a turned aluminium fascia. Seen on planes in the 1920s and 30s, the original effect was achieved by hand, ‘turning’ metallic ‘dust’ or fine shavings into the dashboard with a cork.
